Curly Hard Maple

Curly hard maple has a rippling "tiger stripe" figure that seems to move in the light, on the hard, pale wood maple is known for. It's used for instrument backs and necks, drawer fronts, panels, boxes and furniture accents. The figure can tear out, so use sharp blades and light passes, or finish with a scraper or sander. We carry it in 4/4, sold by the board foot.
