Soft maple S4S boards are surfaced on all four sides to a set width and thickness, ready to use as they are. Soft maple is light in color, fine-grained and easier to work than hard maple, and takes paint and finish well, a good fit for trim, cleats, face frames and small parts. In 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" widths, sold by the lineal foot.
