Sassafras

Sassafras is a lightweight domestic hardwood, light to medium brown, with an open grain that looks much like ash or chestnut and a spicy scent when freshly cut. It works easily and is used for furniture, boxes, trim and small boats. We carry it in 4/4, sold by the board foot.
