Bocote

Bocote is an imported hardwood known for its bold figure: golden to tan wood with dark brown to black stripes and swirls. It's dense and naturally oily, turns well and polishes to a soft sheen, which makes it a favorite for knife handles, boxes, pens, turnings and inlay, where a little goes a long way. We carry it in 4/4, sold by the board foot.
